    Learning C

    So to start off i have been learning c for about 3-4 months now and i have finished reading C dummies and C all in one guide
    I was wondering what other book i could read also i would like to learn gui c programming
    Anyway i have K&R but it doesnt fit my learning style (it is really boring in my OP)

    So is there anything you guys would recommend me reading

    Most GUI frameworks are object oriented, and C has been somewhat left behind as a GUI development language. It can be done, but it is hard work and less productive than say C++ or C#.

    C itself is a very small language; I would suggest that three books on the subject and 4 months is probably enough. You might perhaps consider something of a more general nature - there is more to software development that languages and coding. Steve McConnell's Code Complete is a good place to start.

    Do not be too quick to dismiss K&R, it is concise and accurate. Use it as a reference for when you really want to know how something works, rather than as a tutorial.
