Quick tasks, quick payment, PHP developer wanted

I am looking for someone who is currently working on PHP/MySQL websites. I am not looking for someone who wants a full time job, but rather someone who can quickly complete tasks for some extra cash.

Please e-mail me at robin@iconcc.com. I don't want a resume, but I would like a description of yourself and some of your PHP/MySQL projects. Strong design skills also a plus.

Note: If you are used to developing projects from start to finish independantly, let me know.

    Hello!
I emailed you earlier this week and then replied to your response on the 28th. Did you recieve this response? Are you still in need of a developer?

I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.
    Sincerely,

    Robert Shedd

I think, that good programmer is a bad designer and reverse.
It is impossible to be a good programmer and good designer at the same time.

    Thank you.

No, Sheddtech. bulanov commented original post where it says:

    >>I would like a description of yourself and some of your
    >>PHP/MySQL projects. Strong design skills also a plus.

From that it is not clear what SirD meant by 'design skill' - whether code design or graphic design. I too must say that rarely you can see someone is good both at graphics and programming - absolutely different parts of brain are responsible for logic and artistic skills.
And you know I mean that.

    Hi,

Personally speaking, I find it true that good programmers are not that good designers.

Though I have come across few guys who excels at both.
    Don't believe me ?

    Check this : http://www.typo3.com/

The fellow behind this content management system is ACE (Adobe Certified Expert). And you gotta be kidding if you say Typo3 isnt a real good programming work !!!!!

    Regards,
    JD

I think its really scary when a person who does design work starts to learn programming. I am a programmer, know several languages and I more or less refuse to do any design work. That is not my talent and I agree that most people who design cant program.... and most who can program cant design.

As a designer and a programmer, I find this both shocking and closed-minded. It's like someone who plays baseball can not play basketball well. Or someone who writes lefty can't write righty well.. In most cases, no people who program can't design, But I say I can do both very well. For example.. I am programming a developer community website, check it out at http://deepcode.net, check out the layout that me and a friend from a design company collaborated on ( http://design.deepcode.net ), any objections? let me know.

For starters take the comma out of the link. Then, no offense but design of your site is not that great. I can't comment on your programming skills as you're new to devshed and there isn't that much on your site.
And you know I mean that.

Yes, but its not complete crap. The only reason I went with that design is because its not bulky or high bandwidth and it shows alot more content then if 90% of the screen was images. I guess it wasnt the best example. And I dont use the vBcode, i just wrote the URL in, and put a comma after it so it automatically added the comma to the url. quite sorry about that.

i designed and programmed "Oasis Fanatic" (www.oasisfanatic.com). I don't know about other developers, "Web Design" satisfies both my technical and creative needs. i'm still learning more about design and programming.... love it!
