Content Management system - looking for bids

I have a client that is interested in setting up some content management system software for their web site and I am currently looking for different options to create the site we are looking to build. The graphics and front-end would be all be taken care of myself, this would be just the backend that would be required.

Content Management System layout thoughts:

From the main page of the site the user has the ability to login to the site. This can be done either directly on the page or even a link to another location. The user is than sent to another location, where they are able to see the stories of the day and other similar content. Information about the users would include the obvious name, email, location and such… However we would also want to build in the ability to collect credit card information for monthly charges due to subscriptions to the web site. There will be fees for individual users and a different fee for larger groups. So, the ability for an admin to edit the information of each user would be required as well, also to add individual users manually by admin. The users could be set so that when they come to the main page it reads to see if there is a ‘cookie’ or something and directs them into the main section of the site for them.

Also on these pages there are links to courses created in Flash that we offer to the users. The ability to test the users knowledge about the information is still being discussed – but if it were to happen, would like the ability to show the user his/her scores at anytime after completing the testing. These courses will be updated quite often, so being able to do so using a form quickly and easily would be great as well!

If you know of pre-created software that can be modified to create these solutions - please feel free to give me thoughts on that as well. Things like banner ad set up (or at least the ability to add code to templates), tracking of users who access the site and adding polls to the site are all some excellent features as well. Any additional features that are offered would be great to hear about as well!

Of course the pricing of such a product would be good to learn about as well. This is all somewhat standard features, perhaps with a few modifications so if you could give an overview of pricing structures please feel free to forward them to me.

Please simply send resumes, links and bids to me at sryder@webryder.com.

Thanks,
Shawn

Goto URL or URL You'll find plenty of Content Management Systems there. You can test them out and see if they suit your needs.

sryder,

Scully Interactive (URL) offers a cost effective custom content management system that may serve your clients' needs better than a generic content management tool. Because our approach is customized to the project, you don't need to spend time making a generic tool fit your site requirement needs.

I spent about a month reviewing potential CMS's and I would recommend the following:

URL

URL

URL - (iPage)

The seem more suitable to 'proffesional' sites that the 'nukes' but are either open source or very cheap. All have excellent features but are much less bloated than many you will come across.
