The intent of the way the site is organized is so that clients can quickly find the consultants they need closest to where they need them. In smaller countries, this probably seems silly; but for large countries like USA, Canada, or even India, the way it's organized should make it so much easier for people to search for the consultants they need. So far, this has turned out to be correct, but we'll see as we add consultants from geographically smaller countries.

Yes, because in my country (belgium) bilzen and lanaken for instance is a 10 minute walk.

Your listing is visible in all cities within 60 miles of your home city... turns out that's 50 cities in Belgium and a bunch more in Netherlands and maybe some more (I stopped looking after that). Check out the site again and see all the places where clients will be able to find you.

And that's why I like the way I've set this up better. When a potential client in Lanaken looks for you, even if you've listed yourself in Bilzen, they will see that you are a local consultant... because you are! Other directories just list you in one place and make it difficult to find you.
