Graphic banner needed

I've been working on my new soccer website which has undergone major design change, and I really need to be able to create a really good banner to display my website name.

The website is called 'white review' and was wondering if anybody has any ideas on the best way of displaying the name.

I would really like to have my own logo as well, but I'm just not capable of creating one. Any design genius' out there??

You can see the design at http://whitereview.co.uk/test.php

you seem quite confused, aren´t you?

ok, what does your "company name" say? "white review" in my language says something like "weisse rückblende" which is back-tranlated "white review" again. why "white"? the review thing is quite clear... like when they put the blinking "R" upper-left of the screen - "this is a review of what happenend already"

what does the "white" stand for??? (i am into professional advertising, maybe u understand now why i have to ask u this?!)

Ummm.. right... I THINK what he's asking is this:

What is the significance of the word "White" in the title of the website. Does it have a special meaning? Does it have some sort of story to it? In other words: why did you choose "White Review" as opoposed to "Ochre Review" or "Turquoise Review"? What is so special about the word "White" that it was chosen as part of the site's name?

Its obvoius to everyone , Whitereview is called such because it is a website dedicated to Tranmere Rovers Football Club, who wear white kit

And i personally think its agreat name for a site, unless you obsessed with porn , in which case Microsoft.com could mean soft porn to do with Micro machines or something

Strange people in this world

Ahh, yes, I get it now

Although walshs was abolutely right.

I named it 'white review' because it is a website about Tranmere Rovers who do wear a white kit.

There is nothing more to it. And review because its basically a review of the team on a daily basis.

Getting back to my original question though, does anyone have any ideas for the graphic at the top?

Its plain at the moment because I can't think of anything to put in there...

Any suggestions??

yeah, thats not a bad idea..

in fact, a nice little bit of flash might look quite good..
what about the actual title of the website?

where am i going to put it?
im not sure on font size either. if i make it too big, i will most probably swamp the image.

i really need some good artists opinion on this. its the only thing that is left that is really bugging me....

Sure just have the title Whitereview with a logo (if this is for a specific team)

and for the ball across the header would not really interfere.

but if all you wanted was a ball going across without
the guy kicking it, that would be easy.

But if you wanted the guy mock kicking the ball would be a little tougher.

Any flash pros seeing this have ideas?

Or just with a static image have on the far right
the ball in the net.

Or maybe some kind of gradient or blur with the shot on the field with the crowd in the background.

Need some Photoshop persons opinion and flash

yeah, now you've got me thinking.

i like the idea of having a net in the corner with the ball flying in or something along those lines. maybe with some crowd in the background.

i could fade it into the existing color maybe...

come on you photoshop wizards, i need you!!
