http SMS interface
A HTTP API is required to be built to link with my current database. It will provide an interface to an SMS gateway. I have the HTTP interface with the SMS server but need to develop the application to send and receive SMS messages via an Internet browser and link into that gateway.
The project so far has beveloped the GUI so the user can input/ammend/ save an SMS which is saved into an access database, built in PHP.

SMS Gateway
it is possible to have an SMS Gateway on linux with mySQL.

I use
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon)Linux oracle.2question.com 2.4.21-4.EL #1 Fri Oct 3 18:13:58 EDT 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
* mySQL 4.0.18 (doesn't come with Redhat EL 3.0)
* PHP 4.3.5 (doesn't come with Redhat EL 3.0)
* had to install a few packages (imap, unixodbc)
* Kannel, Gnokii
* Nokia 6310
