well you need two different things. the games need backends to them meaning it can either use asp or php. flash seems to be the most common front end to it. you need coders for the back end and for the html and you need people for the front end which would be for the flash and general design.

OK, i'll try and explain what you need a liitle clearer, and why.
First thing you need is the web server, a place to put all the files of your website. Because your site is going to be a game, its fairly obvious to me that your pages are not going to be 'static' (ie just HTML). The paes are going to have to change their content based upon certain criteria. For a start off, your probably going to have to have people register and log into the site so that they can continue with their pet later on. For how each pet reacts to you giving it food (or not) etc... then you are going to need some kind of database to store all constantly changing info. This is where your PHP or ASP programmers come in. They write all the code to this. This part of the site is commonly called the 'back-end' as it is the bit the user doesnt see. Now onto the 'front-end', the bit the user does see. This is all your graphics and what will appear in your browser. The pages you create could be written in HTML, but a better and more appealing way is to create the front-end graphics in Flash. That way you can have tons of animation and moving parts on your site to make it visually appealing. I hope that explained a few things to you, as your last post suggested you were a little confused about what all those things meant. |
