I Need a PHP/mySQL Programmer

I need a php/mySQL programmer to help with a nature website. However, I can not afford to pay much...but I can pay a little. What I can do that may be even better than the pay is promote you on the nature website and you can use this as a sample project to get other work. My site gets between 20,000 and 100,000 uniques a month currently and has gotten much more in the past when I've promoted it heavily as I plan to do again once the projects are completed....and I know how to sell people if I think they're good. You would definitely get some exposure with your name and my glowing recommendation on the site. I also think that this site would be a great showcase for your work as it will have some very interactive places and is an attractive site....and of course I would be willing to recommend you highly and talk with any prospective clients once the project is finished. I also have clients of my own asking me for suggestions on programmers so I could probably find you some other work as well. I also have other projects in mind for the future and I'd love to find someone I can work with on a very long term basis. Bottomline, if I can find the right person, I will make it worth their while.

My site is hosted on a BSD Unix server so please be completely comfortable with this system.

I would prefer to work with an individual who is a good English speaker/typer as we will need to communicate a lot.

I would very much prefer you to live in the United States as this will make telephone calls much cheaper!

Although not required, it would be a huge plus if you are a nature lover of some type.....wildlife watcher.....outdoor enthusiast...gardening....astronomy buff....bird watcher....rock hound....conservationist....green business (ecofriendly) consumer....etc, etc.... especially if you think you'd prefer to work with these types of businesses in the future....I have connections here.

Please be at least 18 years old.

I want to use mostly pre-existing free PHP scripts and modify them as needed. I am perfectly willing to have you release any original code under the GPL license and/or re-use any of the code you create on other projects, including mods/hacks to existing php scripts....if you choose to do so.....or maybe release it as shareware....i.e. I do not need to OWN the code. I'm almost certain that I want to use phpBB on part of the site so I need someone familiar with this.
