This is no small project, and you are not going to find what you need in this forum. I suggest you search the web for existing software, or buy a good php book and start learning to code.

Cheers,

jay

robscrappy,

You don't want much for free do you? You've basically just asked the people on this forum to create your entire site for you.

If you don't have any luck finding something that's already written for the type of site you want, then..............
get a copy of the PHP manual (the .chm version is cool if you're running Windows), get the MySQL manual and a couple of good books on PHP, MySQL and maybe one or two javascript and html books. Read and study them carefully, get a good idea of how you're going to design and layout your site then start coding. When you run into specific problems or have specific questions, then come back and ask for help. At that point, the free help's pretty darn good around here.

robscrappy,
Couple of rules we have here:

1) When you post something, you must use a descriptive subject title

2) Your post does not belong in this forum. There is a forum called Project Help Wanted. Please post in the proper forum.

Now, as to what you asked for, What have you been smoking???

Who in their right mind is going to spend weeks coding what you just asked for, and not charge for it. Get a grip.

The door's always open but the ride ain't free

Wink don't have the time, but some tips will help

thedude is a bit strong with you, i think...
but he's right on the point 2, not the good place to ask help...nevermind!
i would like help you, but don't have time [very busy now], but they are solutions to every problem's,right.
I really don't think you have to re-write the code from scratch, they are plenty good packaged solutions, especially for gaming sites or portals...
according to your message you don't know well PHP, but i think youy will be fully competent to fill a config script... so the best way to put a gaming portal is to adapt an open source existing one!

check URL in the PHP section
vortex portal should be the best according to mee:
URL

the message of Stink Sleeve was short but full of good sense!
Nuke is a very good solution, you can find some gaming modules or patches, and the installation is pretty easy (lot of docs and tutorail, just search in google, the real problem is there are too much links...), even for a newbi if he is really willing...

and if you want to built your own, you should re-use some scripts from URL (may be you will need some help to do this, but there is all what you want: indentification and basic stuffs)

the force'll be with you, young padawan
good luck for your project....
