Price Engine Project

I'm in the early stages of bulding a new price engine web app similar to (www.bizrate.com && www.epinions.com).

We are currently shopping around for developers.

If you could give me some feedback on these questions I would appreciate it.

Any interested developers will be generously compensated.

Key issue: scalability/reliability

Language: Perl/CGI

Database: mySQL or Postgre SQL
