Programmer(s) wanted for 2D RPG project
Fierce Legends Software are an amateur, non-profit (and as a result non-paying) company looking for a C++ programmer to work on a 2D RPG project that is heavily into pre-production.
The 2D RPG project is an unofficial yet faithful prequel to the popular Squaresoft game Final Fantasy VI. Utilising a similar graphical style to the old game, the new engine will nevertheless be required to handle new scripting information required for the new additions and modifications to the gameplay we have planned. The project was put into motion several months back and pre-production has been in motion, drafting the whole story and much of the concept art and design completed for the project. We currently have a small but expanding team of sprite artists who have already begun working on creating and editing sprites for the game, which will range from direct rips from the original game through to totally new material created specifically for the project.
A basic engine has already been created, that handles all the major graphics and scripting issues, but is far from complete. Our previous programmer has been unable to work on the project extensively due to his new job, but nevertheless is available for support and technical information pertaining to the engine thus far. Naturally, all details shall be discussed in full should anybody be interested in the project. The original code will be handed over to the new programmer plus existing support and conact information. The production team will of course have a meeting with the new programmer to discuss such things as utilisation of the existing engine and production issues specific to the editing or creation of the engine and its design.
The project has received much interest since its announcement, and has already achieved both a large fanbase and extensive online media coverage. More information about the project can be gained from some of our online coverage at these sites:

Other articles and some fan reaction can be gained from search engines.
We're looking for anyone who is passionate about game making, and especially people who are passionate about Final Fantasy. We will be utilising many of the conventions familiar with the original game, and thus the project will be very specific to a continuity with the older FF games. Anybody with an interest in creating an enjoyable game that will not require an impossible amount of time or resources, and anybody who is willing to both work as part of a team but also as a creative body and an enthusiast is ideal for the job.
I look forward to hearing from you, you can reach me at any of these:
