Python or Java Developer Needed

Small project with broad scope. I am looking for a developer that has knowledge of programming multi-threading applications. Other key requirements are a knowledge of socket connections, file system access, and mySQL database access. Must have knowledge of Diff3 or similar file comparison methodology. And oh yeah, you'll be developing for *ahem* a windows platform.

Previous developer quoted 4-8 hours but have not heard back from him since last week. The specification is available upon request and upon proof of capability.

This is the first application in a suite of three and is obviously the quickest and easiest to produce.

If it is windows and end product is more important then language then I can develop in C# or in Delphi. Python is a fun language but I am novice that area yet.
If you explain more details about the project it will help lot to bid.

i just noticed your posting on devshed for some help. did you
want a web based solution or a java application?

please be relatively descriptive in any specific functionality
you desire added. a 4 to 8 hour bid in anything written in java
that is more than one class seems an underestimate of the time.

i mostly do corporate java, perl, PHP, VB, database work so very
little of my work is available from the internet.
