Question saving & developing dotproject

i'm not the right man to do it myself but dotproject (yes it's gpl'ed )could really need saving and being developed further it seems the original developers have abandonend it, they do not respond to emails or their own forums

after looking at several webbased project management systems i'm confident that this one has what it takes, except dedicated developer. anyone out there feel like having a go at this? i for one would be very gratefull & i'm sure dotproject has what it takes to really become a killer app.

i have several ideas for improving (what now seems to be a dead project) had i only been able to do this myself

my top dreams for dotproject are :
  • integrate phpbb so that each new project automatically creates a new forum
  • task& milestone dependencies
  • gnatt charts (maybe use JpGraph?)
  • export all charts (and other stuff) to pdf
  • and theres so much more....

I've had a look at the site, it does look pretty impressive. I would be interested in knowing more and maybe getting involved. You can contact me on kscycle@hotmail.com

regards,

Kevin

dotproject saved

For the record, dotproject development was restarted in earnest in July 2002.
