Wanted: Contract Programmer: Reverse Auction/Forums/Admin/More

This project has a tentative due date of mid-January, however, we would like something that can be up and running and ready for beta testing by the last week of December if possible.



BASIC PREMISE:

A site that utilizes a reverse-auction type system to bring business owners with customers. Think of an Elance-type of site where instead of bidding on jobs, business owners would bid on the services customers need. There is actually a little more to it than this, but in the interest of confidentiality at this point, we will
discuss the specifics at a later date.

Project language: PHP, MySQL

Ability to separate function from design crucial. Administrative panel for all functions with multiple users and multiple permissions also desired.



PROJECT ELEMENTS:

Reverse-auction platform

Forum system

Instant-messaging/Chat system

Billing system

Platform that consolidates all logins into one user/pass pair and puts all pertinent information on one screen

Ability to upgrade and improve all features with minimal impact to the current features


More details about the project will be provided once a tentative contract arrangement is established. If you feel that this project might be a good fit for you, please email me and we can discuss it further. It is possible that this project will not be available until after January 2004, so please let me know of your availability. Design work probably will not be needed as we are using a template, but skills in integrating your programming into an established design would be necessary.

Also, your creativity in suggesting ways of improving the programming, the structure of the site, and other improvements are welcomed and expected! There will be a certain level of autonomy in the first version of this project, so come prepared to
think creatively and somewhat "out of the box".

As in the original project, budget is an issue. More specifics about the budget and deadline will be discussed once the field of programmers has been narrowed.

This project is IN DEVELOPMENT as we speak....a programming wizard is one of the last pieces of the puzzle that need to be found!
