Web Design Company seeks Graphic and Flash Designers

Hi everyone,

My name is Patrick and I own a small web design company by the name of Web Creation Technologies. The company is located in San Jose, California. We focus on web design, eCommerce, and Search Engine Optimization for small to medium sized businesses. Web Creation Technologies was started in 1999. Since then, we have designed over 70 web sites in all areas of business, and the list continues to grow on a monthly basis.

Primarily, most of the work is done by myself and my partner. Recently, the demand for my services has increased favorably. We are finding more and more projects to take on, with less time to handle them. I have reached a point to where I would like to bring on more people on a per project, contract basis. This is where you come in.

I am looking for a few Graphic and/or Flash Designers to bring aboard Web Creation Technologies. My requirements are simple, but must be met exactly. I will list the requirements for Graphic Designers and Flash Designers separately, but if you fall under both categories, don't be afraid to mention so. I am very open-minded.

Graphic Designers:
- Must understand the limitations of HTML design compared to Flash design.
- Must understand what design skills are required for fast-loading, yet still eye-appealing Business sites, OR must understand what design skills are needed for professional, elegant web sites.
- Must be open-minded to suggestions, even if it goes against your beliefs of what an "artist" truly is and how he/she expresses him/herself. In a perfect world, artists would be appreciated for what they do, no matter what it looks like. In the real world (aka the client's world), the client has the final word. I know, the real world sucks.
- Must have good communication skills, both via email and IM
- Must be willing to keep a detailed log of what they do for verification.
- Must be reliable, and not some fly-by-night person who doesn't take his/her work seriously.
- Must be willing to broaden your horizons as our relationship continues. This ties in with being open-minded. The "Anything is Possible" attitude is what we are looking for.
- Must know how to deliver layouts and designs in a format the web designers and developers can use. Formats include Layered PSD and Layered PNG formats.
- Must know how to work hard and achieve beyond excellent results.

Flash Designers:
- Must know Actionscripting
- Must understand what skills are required for business sites who want to add "flare" to their online presence.
- Must have an open mind when it comes to ideas, but also must be able to suggest alternative options if available.
- Must have good communication skills, both via email and IM
- Must be willing to keep a detailed log of what they do for verification.
- Must be reliable, and not some fly-by-night person who doesn't take his/her work seriously.
- Must be willing to broaden your horizons as our relationship continues. This ties in with being open-minded. The "Anything is Possible" attitude is what we are looking for.- Must know how to work hard and achieve beyond excellent results.

As mentioned earlier, we are a small company, which means we are looking for affordable contractors to bring onto our team, with plans of them staying long term if everything works out. We ourselves are very open-minded as well. Ideally, we would like to bring aboard young, fresh minded individuals who are trying to get their feet planted in the industry. I can promise you a relationship with our company will indeed benefit both sides. We all work very hard, and enjoy what we do.
