Where can I find brilliant russian programmers for some projects I'm working on?

Where can I find brilliant russian programmers for some projects I'm working on? I am looking for a full-time programmer/firm that is relatively cheap. I need him/them to have an exceptional knowledge of many programming languages.

Are there any sites offering contacts of russian programmers?

I hope you're not in the United States, talking about a specific cultural preference for folks you want to hire can get your butt sued, and rightly so. I have run posts like this by our Affirmative Action officer, and she's said they are very dangerous.

Just state the qualifications you want (work for $5 US an hour, or whatever) and applicants will self-select.

I suggest you delete this thread and think a little more before you post in the future.

I'm negotiating this outside of the United States, US laws don't apply.

Is that what your lawyer has said, or are you just guessing/hoping? I'd suggest getting a professional opinion.

Anyway, I suggest "google" as a starting point, as I doubt you'll get a lot of help here, because this is COMPLETELY inappropriate for a MySQL forum, and because of the nature of this post.

Dude - it's 2003 and the internet is everywhere, including Russia and yes even in siberia. You will never find someone to work cheap for you because the market is open for russian people just like it is for any other programmer in the world. Yes, you will find plenty of talanted people there, just like you would in any other country. This myth that you can hire a russian guru and have him do stuff for peanuts, is not going to take your anywhere. This is not the case and hardly ever was, so if you want some birlliant minds be prepared to pay a nice sum of money for their skills, whether they are russian or not.

Why do they have to be Russian?

Is it a linguistic requirement? I'm a capable British programmer and I also speak Russian - Will that do?

If you have an exceptional knowledge of many programming languages, how come you have no idea what python is and you haven't got a clue about apache?
