    change IP address winxp


    is it possible to create a script which will change the IP address of my computer - running XP?

    The command "netsh" will allow you to do networky things from the XP command line.

    If you open a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd -> OK), then type:

    netsh interface ip dump
    It will dump a list of configuration stuff.
    You can edit this for the network card you are interested in, save it somewhere, and use it as an input to the netsh command (netsh /? for help - I can't remember the details).

    I don't know of any other ways to do this, but there probably are some.
