Create HTML file from URL?
Now, I have to admit, I've never used Python in my life.
But, I've been suggested to use it for this particular application. I'm writing a coldfusion page, much like the one at this link http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/02/26/index4a.html?tw=programming Now, that site uses a windows file. BUT, I'm running on a linux server and low and behold! Linux doesn't run EXE files. Well, the one I'm running anyway. lol. So, is it possible to create a program in python to do exactly the same function as the EXE in the above website? If so, it would be great if someone could shove me in the right direction. Thanking you in anticipation! |

Ok, i'm a little confused over what you want to do with Python..
I gather it has something to do with page catching, since catching a plain html page would be dumb i'll also assume that this is a dynamic CF page ![]() If you explain exactly what you wana do then i'm sure we can help. Mark. Last edited by netytan : August 14th, 2003 at 12:28 PM. |
