    creating a standalone pytong application

I'm just wondering if anyone has done this ?

If so, would you mind taking me through the steps to do this.

Like everything, I'm sure it's easy once you've done it once, but I'm just wondering if I can get help on doing it the first time from someone who has done it.

I'm basically looking for a way to run a python script/application as an executable file on a machine that may not have python installed (and qt also).

    Any help would be appreciated

    Cheers

I actually was looking at pygame.org and saw a link, so, tried it and i was impressed. unfortunetly its not really platform indipendant but hey. havnt come across anything like this for linux yet sorry, but im sure some bright spark will do it one day, if you do find one let me know!

you should also do a search for python freeze. does kinda the same thing but i dont know which is best.
