Email Scheduling with Python and Mysql

I was wondering if anyone knows how a to schedule email sending with python? I have a table with tasks in a database with a due_date field, notification time field(ie, 10mins,15mins,20min,etc) from the due_date, I want to be able to take the description and title fields a schedule a email to be sent on that given day. Ideas on how to do such a thing?
