Exceptions

Where can I get a list of the exceptions for built-ins like open()?

Look in the module documentation. If you are on Windows, go to 'Start->Programs->PythonX.X->Module Docs'. I'm not sure how to start the documentation server on other platforms, unfortunately.

Then go to:
http://localhost:7464/exceptions.html
