    Hi kiransun,

Which Operating system are you using?

For Windows Tkinter is supplied with the distribution of Python and is installed when Python is installed. In fact the IDLE Python editor is written using Tkinter.

For Linux the Tkinter GUI is normally installed as an additional package. Each distribution packages it differently so it is difficult to be precise - use your package search tools to locate Tkinter or IDLE but be prepared to install other packages to satisfy dependencies - often Tk, TCL and others are needed.

I haven't found any free Tkinter development tools - I just use a text editor.

The Tkinter book is a useful (but incomplete) reference:
    http://www.pythonware.com/library/tkinter/introduction

    and
    http://www.ferg.org/thinking_in_tkinter/all_programs.html
    is a useful introduction.

If you want a real book - I learnt Tkinter using "Python Programming" by Mark Lutz.
