is running and accessing Zope possible on an ISP?
I use a web hosting company that provides php, python, MySQL in a Linux/Apache environment.
I have installed and successfully started up Zope in my cgi-bin directory, but when I try to access Zope at http://www.mydomain.com:8080/manage, my browser can't connect. I don't know that much about server configuration and am wondering if what I'm trying to do is even possible (to run Zope through my cgi-bin directory and be able to access it via my browser), or if that's something the webhost would have to run at root level and provide for their users. Thanks |

It would have to be installed at the root level and then the ISP would have to allow port 8080 to be available for you to use.
Your best bet is to contact your isp and ask if they can do this for you wabirdman
