New 2 Py

I was recomended by a friend to visit this site i did and WOooooooooooW what a place to learn. I was told python is the easy language to learn. As I am new to programming i took is word and here i am. Now how do i put my first step?

Your first steps would be to download and install Python on your computer, as its not easy to learn a language in you're head . You can get the latest version of Python here:

If your on windows, which most new users are then installation is amazingly simple; just download and run the exe and you're away.

If your not a windows user then i'd sugest you read though the first part of Dive Into Python since this seems to be a good tutorial on installing on other platforms.

Once you have Python, i'd luck at the page below. Unless of course you have an idea for your first program? In which case we can get started with that right away .

By far the best online book right now in my oppion has to be Dive into Python; if only because it seems to be the most up to date and covers some interesting subjects .
