New to python need help with math lib

i am trying to learn python using beginning python

in one of the exercises it says to load math lib
>>>import math

i get error messages

i have searched the python lib folder for the math lib and not found it

i am using an amd 64 pit processor on windows 7 professional.
i have put the python directory in my path.
any suggetions about my problem would be appreciated.

no realy, big time dislexia, this is the reason that i dont program profesioonaly only on an amature basis
