newbie question: How to compile to an app

ok... so here i was learnig about python, slowly getting the hang o it...

Now i want to create my own app, GUI and all.

Where do I start if I want to compile it to an app that runs, lets say on a mac.

Do i need to install python on that machine? or can i compile the whole thing to an "installer"?
If yes how?

I cant find any tutorials on where to start to do this. Maybe its tooo easy

cheers
chris

I think the closest your going too get would be py2exe for windows and py2exe, rather than making a stand alone executable packages the Python interpriter along with it.. for mac i don't know, but i wouldn't hold your breath on this, just install python

As for mac gui programming i think your best bet would be to do a search on google and take a look at mac python.

Sorry i guess i wasnt much help here

Mark.
