What is Numeric supposed to do?
I've never heard of such a module, and if you are running a sample, it's very possible this is a module that was written to go with the sample(s). What is 'Numeric' supposed to do? Are you trying to find a module that converts strings to numbers? I've been explicitly told by a programmer that no such module exists, but I did find this once:
By Francois Granger <email@example.com>
Convert numbers to words
This module is based on the program "roman" from "Dive Into Python",
a free Python book for experienced programmers.
Visit <http://diveintopython.org/> for the latest version.
With help from Pedro Rodriguez
Is this what you are trying to do? If you find 'Numeric' let me know, it sounds interesting!

The error basically tells me to get the module called Numeric. Can somebody please tell me where to download it from. I am using Python24 on a Windows XP box.
