In the documentation Popen is imported explicitly using the from-import
syntax. If you want to use this in your program then you either need to import it in this way or fully qualify it i.e. subprocess.Popen()
>>> import subprocess
>>> from subprocess import Popen
You might also consider using the call() function, depending on what you need to do with it for simplicity
