Python editors that edit code in the server

I would like to have a editor the I can edit and save the code on the server. Is there any editor that can do this? I don't if it has to have something special for my case because for me to get into the server where I have all codes, I ssh to a server and from that server I connect to the server that I have all my codes. Thanks in advance

I probably misunderstand your situation, but why not set up vnc. Then you can have a desktop server interface displayed on your local computer. Furthermore, it is stateless on your local computer allowing you to reconnect and continue from where you left off.

I'm not sure about ssh but Emacs can definitely work with remote files via ftp. Well, it's not really working directly on remote files as it creates a temp file locally and uploads it then.
