Well, Perl and Python are significantly different. Python favors clean syntax, has a vastly superior object model, and a whole slew of other huge differences. So your analogy doesn't apply. That's why I asked what was significantly different about your forum software as compared to others. If it offers novel features, then there is merit to it. If not, then there's not (not to end-users anyway).
