I have a problem that I've been working on for awhile and can't seem to figure out. I have to scrape a number from a webpage and perform a math function on it, then POST it back. The problem is, the only way I know how to post it back is by sending it as a header, which I only know how to send by using build_opener() from urllib2. Now, every time the page opens, a new number is posted, so by sending it back that way, it gets a new number and thus the answer I'm posting is wrong. My question is: Is there a way to POST something to a website without doing it this way? There must be, but I'm a rookie with Python and this is the only way I know how to open and post to a url.
