    upgrade python path?

i ugraded python from a dismal 1.5 to it's recent version and the sys.path still reflects the 1.5

also, at the command line, I type python and i get a version 1.5 back.

how can i modify the path to point to the correct version?

What OS are you running and where is the current versi located? The default location on *nix systems I believe is /usr/local/bin/, if this is the case it should be as easy as adding this to the $PATH variable before /usr/bin/. This should make 'python' run the current version, or at least it worked for me .

Another solution would be to create an alias for /usr/local/bin/python called python2.4, making the 'python2.4' command start the current version of Python.

    Hope this helps,
