WXPython, Can it do the job

I am looking to possibly use wxPython in my application, but I hear that the wxPython's text widget is not as powerful as Tkinter. What I need from wxPython is the ability to use multiple font and change them dynamically, what I want is dynamic syntax highlighting.

With Tkinter it is easy to pass a regular expression match object into a text widget using tags. I am wondering would this be difficult to implement with wxPython

    A bit of de-ja-vue here
wxStyledTextCtrl has many more features than Tkinter's Text widget. Why not install wxPython and run the demo to check it out yourself. You will soon get an idea of it's power.
