wxPython vs PHP-GTK
Not wishing to create some flaming thread, but I've been researching Python (coming from the field of PHP myself) and I'm wondering which would be best for creating standalone desktop apps... wxPython or PHP-GTK? (I'd use py2exe to make wxPython apps standalone)
What are the advantages of wxPython? Is it more fully featured, stable etc.? Thanks, Simon |

well id say forget about php-gtk as the model is created to work with php, my suggestion is.. us tkinter for small apps or use wxPython for big apps, i my self come from php - php is one of my first languages i have ever learned. right now im doing wxPython and i have to admit it is great
good luck

Thanks for your comments xlordt. I realise that PHP-GTK is designed to work with PHP, I'm just wondering if I should stick with what I know and use PHP with PHP-GTK to develop desktop apps or if I should learn Python and use it with wxPython? |
