    xchat and python


    Just wondering what exactly i need in order to script for xchat, google spits out a bunch of stuff but nothing really concrete.

    acually I have no clue what xchat is so could you please explain...

    xchat is simply an irc client. I'm just thinking if there's a module or something else out there that can make scripting for it a bit easier.

    for what an irc client or to control that client?

    for the module there is I think irclib or something like that...

    irclib module is for use of creating your own little IRC client in Python. Just like telntlib is for creating a telnet client or server. MrGardenHoseMan, I doubt there are any Python modules designed specifically for XChat. My best guess would be to continue searching google or to (better yet) create your own code.
