zope archives

I am a Zope Newbie and was wondering if Zope archives old versions of it content when pages are modified/deleted? I am interested in providing a search facility on my site and would like to provide the option to search old content. I am aware of the undo feature so this would suggest that things are archived, but can this be indexed with ZCatalog for example? Can anyone be of ANY assistance?

As far as I understand there is not a way unless you keep the old archive.
