Mmmm, there is never going to be a totaly cross platform way to play sounds with Tk since TK doesnt work on some platforms, mac for one!

Possibly check out pyGame, i know you can use it to eject a CD and sound is kinda important in a game so

    Thanks for the quick reply

Hey Thanks I checked out PyGame

It is just a matter of figuring out how to use it

So there is no way to do that in tkSnack

What about if it was just for windows platforms is there an absolute path to a CDROM drive in windows

    Thanks Cheers

We'll i'm not Tk buff but i do know that Tk wont work on mac so. but if you where just on windows the it should be fine... i surpose the abs path to a CD drive could be something as simple as D:\

On windows you can play with sounds using the winsound module

    Hey Cool

Yeah I guess TkSnack would'nt be the best choice for a project that was actually going to be distributed

I am basically just messing around so I can learn how to program TkSnack was the first thing that popped up on the internet

Maybe I will just leave my music player with Open Play Stop buttons

    Thanks for all your help

    Cheers
