where is my sys.py in my py 2.3 installation?
There must be some serious magic going on or I've gone insane. A search of my c:\py23\ directory reveals that there is no sys.py.
Furthermore, my popen2.py uses os.pipe(), but os.py has no pipe function. Where are these functions and how can read the source code for them? Are they compiled into the interpreter?
Caveat, everything works fine, i just can't find these files on my w2k system

sys and os are so fundamental to Python that they are part of the main run-time library code. They do not appear as seperate modules but you are still required to use an explicit import statement.
