    Quick Executable Question

I just had a quick question and I'm not going to waste my time trying it on someone elses computer. When I uws py2exe to compile my python program into a .exe and it also includes all of the needed files (*.pyd), if I were to have my program downloaded onto another users computer that did not have python, and send all the .pyd files to C:\WINDOWS\System32\. would it still be able to read them? If not, is there a way to read them from that location?

Py2exe should copy the .pyd files into the same directory as your exe. You would then distribute all of the required file; usually as a Zip archive, which could then be unpacked and run.

Check out "How does it work?" section on the Py2exe home page for more detail.

    Hope this helps,
