python program as a service on a port??
is it possible for a python program to function as a service on a designated port?
Basically, I would like my python program to run as a service on a designated port. When someone Telnets to this port, the program will run the netstat command and return the resulting info to the user at the other end of the port.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

This came up a little while ago: the answer is yes. Here's a link to your other thread on this subject in case you lost track of it.
