can I build form with Python

    Hi all..

I just want to make sure that .. can i build a form to accept user input with Python? The form I mean here is the form which is running on DOS, with field name & empty space for use to enter data.

    Thanks.

    ah_new,

I don't think that is practical unless you know a lot about DOS.
[Why do you want to draw forms in DOS? The last time I did that was in 1985]

I did a search for DOS GUI frameworks - I was not surprised there are very few projects still active and none are reported to support Python.

Any sort of cursor positioning and colours will be limited to what you can do using the print command to issue special characters and escape sequences. And then it will only work if you have the right sys files loaded first such as ANSI.sys.

    Stick with raw_input.

But if you mean it's a Python program running from a DOS box in the Windows OS then yes of course you can use wx, Tk etc.

Anybody know more about DOS forms and Python?

http://www.effbot.org/zone/console-index.htm - but it's still for the Windows command prompt, rather than DOS.
