stripslashes for python
Is there anything in mod_python or even python that will do the equivelent of the php's stripslashes. I am trying to use user input from a form and insert it into a database for later viewing. I am hoping there is something like this, or a ease way to make something like it myself. I am not sure how too, i thought possible just making a function that will remove a \ before any meta chaciter. However I am hoping that there is already something out there that does it. Also do anyone know what a html form will return for spaces? is it one of those \n or \r types of things?

nm Python doesn't automaticly add slashes like php does. So there is no need to stripe the slashes. Thank you sorry for this post.
