what excatly do you want more control over...
Tk is not the Library if you want to program some great and fasinating program
Those people who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

I think wx is better than tk, tk is old and fading out. If you like cross platform and native look, go with wx. I have never used pyQT so I can't comment on that, but heard it was good too.

I prefer Tkinter now because of how it works easily over all platforms. Yes wxPython does have this feature but Tkinter makes it more native. If you decide to use wxPython. I suggest you get Boa Constructor. If you've ever used Visual C++ or Visual Basic 6, .NET, etc. then you will know what drag-and-drop GUI developement is. Boa Constructor does this with Python, it uses the wxPython and it simply modifies the code for you. You just do the drag and dropping.

is boa constructer for wxPython just like dreamweaver is for hmtl. just woundering if its the same kind of idea or concept because i've never tried wxPython or boa constructor.

ok monkey i will search for that. in python is it possible to hane an "irregular" GUI as you can commonly see in C programs, this is my real question.

if you are confused on what an irregular GUI is, WMP is a good example. it has odd shapes, twist and turns. there ate many others but i think WMP should be enough.
