    connecting python and internet explorer


    is there anyway that a user can activate a certain python program on their desktop from within internet explorer?

    You can create ActiveX components from python programs.

    www.reportlab.com/ftp/talks/PythonWindowsTutorial.doc

    this goes over COM so you can manipulate other win programs directly from you python scripts. (no IE examples given)

    might help when dealing with the other activex stuff already mentioned.

    oh sorry, you wanted an activexwrapper wxpython and win32all example? This one imbeds flash into a wxpython panel then controls it's behaviour. Might work with IE?.
