    Non-windows installers?

So, I started to use Python because of it's cross platform capabilities. However, I'd rather not force people to be sure that python is installed on their machine. While I'm aware that it comes with Macs and most Linux distributions, I was wondering if there was a way to create exectuable files for those platforms similar to how py2exe can create a windows executble.

It looks like you can create an RPM according to the python documentation, but I don't have a linux installation available to me at this time and received an error message when attempting to follow the docs on a Windows box.

    Thanks!

Search the forums for Linux compiler. I believe someone at one point posted 3 Python compilers.
    PY2EXE - Windows
    PY2APP - Mac based
    Something else - Linux
