#### Noob need help

Hello, I am new to Python and need a little bit of help.
This is kind of a classroom project but I wish to go beyond the required steps.

This is the project.

An employee’s total weekly pay equals the hourly wage multiplied by the total number of regular hours plus any overtime pay. Overtime pay equals the total overtime hours multiplied by 1.5 times the hourly wage. Write a program that takes as inputs the hourly wage, total regular hours, and total overtime hours and displays an employee’s total weekly pay.

What I would like to do is calculate the remainder of hours over 40 (Standard for work week) and then multiply the remainder by 1.5. How would I check to see if the number of hours put into the regular hours is over/under 40 and if over to take the remainder?

Any help would be appreciated. If I have not made this clear please let me know.
