Help with RegEx
I am new to this forum and I am quite a "newbie" at programming at all.
I have a problem with RegEx. None of my collegues from college are capable (which is concerning).
I am desperate.
I have a problem needed to be solved - it might be a silly question, but I can't function (recently overtook 2 operations, brain not working so well).
I need to find a charachter that shows only in the first part of the line which goes like this (dictionary thing):
čirak > svijećnjak
čistilac V čistioče > čistač
I need to be able to find the "č"(for the sake of the example - any type of char) but only in the first part of the line, being the part that ends before ">".
So, in this case it should highlight the first line, but not the second, because of the "č" in the second part of the second line.
If you understand what I mean?
I thank you all for your try to help and for your time.

You could look for any line that matches "> followed by anything except č".
What programming language?

Now, I may come across stupid - is this forum RegEx related or programming with RegEx?
I'm just interested in the command line on how to highlight this kind of problem.

Yes. But if you post a car question in a "Cars" forum, they're still going to ask you what make and model you have.

Well, you made a very good point
It isn't for any programming language - I'm looking for some basics, which I cannot get from the textbooks I have, so I thought maybe some help from someone who has plenty of experience in this type of field.
