    Issues with GEM Downloads


    Hi all ,
    is there a problem with the gem repository's all 3 of my ruby development Environments are Giving errors with updating gems, as a test threw VM up and reinstalled Rails installer and ran Gem install rake
    i get ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'rake' unable to download data from https://rubygems.org SSL=returned 1 State =SSLV3 read server Certificate B: Certificate verify failed

    i get his know matter were i try it, Windows 7 X64 bit , ran these Environments for 3 Years have never seen this error , just started today, anyone else have these issues,

    just tried gem update --system get the exact same error on all 4 machines

    o.k Logged into my XP VM machine "all is well" everything is good, works as it Should , is there a problem with Win 7 X64 Bit and ruby ? never had this problem before

    o.k i NOW have to use gem install package-name --source RubyGems.org | your community gem host to get it to work , https no longer works , uggg ruby your failing me "horribly"

    #FIX-To Ruby Gems Delimma


    Yeah i dont know what the last poster's comment was but here is the fix

    Sorry to wig out it's just i depend on ruby alot for development work i do "shew"


    gem install rubygems-update

    update_rubygems

    Worked on my Windows 7 X64 Machines
