Ruby 4 newbies?
Hi,
I'm just learning to program - I know very, very, very little... Is Ruby good for a first language? I started with C++, but was told Ruby and Python would be more enjoyable (and I have found Ruby to be). I couldn't figure out how to get Python working on my Mac's XCode, but Ruby was not a problem, so I'm practicing on that. Good idea? |

Very good idea. Ruby is great for beginners and still great for advanced users. It's one of the few languages that actually makes sense.
Chris Pine has a great tutorial for beginners if you were to google, and ruby-lang.org has some useful links |
