Ruby on Rails with no Shell Access

Hey everyone,

My host is restricting shell access to my server, so I'm having troubles getting started with Ruby. I have reseller cPanel hosting, and have access to the cPanel Ruby menu, though it dosen't seem of very good use.

I'm looking for advice on how I can give Ruby a try on my host, or looking for other hosting options.
